We Wore a Poppy for You

…. in remembrance of all Veterans

Today we post with gratitude (not obligation).

Today we watched, we cheered, we cried, as we remembered. 

(via CBC as the ceremony unfolded in Ottawa).

We are happy we did not remember alone. It was a joy to see both old and young present in the large crowd.

We are so thankful for all those who fought for our freedom.  To all those brave soldiers who were willing to leave the comforts of home and battle in the trenches.  (I’m sure those were not the most glorious of days)

Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones, and to those who have been injured while on duty.

We are thankful for all those who continue to fight for freedom.

Today, I wonder if the greatest tribute to our veterans would be, for all Canadians to work together, pray, to ensure the continuance of freedom for all in the beautiful land.
