Today reminded me of a poem I wrote quite few years ago. I wrote it in February but today reminded me of it....
...
The picture is from today but here is the poem...
......
My Rubber Boots
I need my rubber boots today,
No matter what those fellas say,
That heap of snow that came last week,
Is now just at its melting peak.
My leather boots were doing fine,
But now they are just biding time,
The puddles growing by the week,
Have caused my boots to spring a leak!
Now as I walk along... oh no!
I feel wetness on my toe,
So now you know why I must say,
I need my rubber boots today!
I need my rubber boots today,
No matter what those fellas say,
That heap of snow that came last week,
Is now just at its melting peak.
My leather boots were doing fine,
But now they are just biding time,
The puddles growing by the week,
Have caused my boots to spring a leak!
Now as I walk along... oh no!
I feel wetness on my toe,
So now you know why I must say,
I need my rubber boots today!
I like your poem. And, sounds like you may need new boots?
